Living in a modular home is very similar to living in a traditional apartment, but there are a few specific maintenance tips that ensure the longevity of the unit.
Wall Mounts and Fixtures Because our walls are precision-engineered for thermal and sound insulation, avoid using nails or screws longer than 1.5 inches when hanging pictures or shelves on exterior walls. Piercing the vapor barrier can compromise the unit's energy efficiency. We recommend using adhesive hooks or consulting the property manager for heavy installations.
HVAC and Air Quality Your unit is equipped with a dedicated heat pump and an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV).
ERV Function: The ERV cycles fresh air into your apartment while retaining heat/cool energy. Do not block the vents located near the ceiling.
Filter Replacement: Filters should be checked every 3 months. The property management team will usually handle this, but if you notice reduced airflow, please submit a maintenance request.
Flooring Care The durable vinyl plank flooring is water-resistant but not waterproof. Spills should be wiped up immediately to prevent seeping into the subfloor. Avoid using wax-based cleaners, as they can cause buildup that attracts dirt.
